Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she smiles at the future. She opens her mouth in wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. She looks well to the ways of her household, and does not eat the bread of idleness. Proverbs 31:25-27

Months past by
Many things have happened in the past few months. We joined the church we have been attending for the past two years in April. My son Ben, graduated from high school in June so you can see why I haven't had time to blog. The three of us have been working all summer. We have been working on our food here at the house. We are trying to eat more organic foods including milk and eggs. It feel great trying to get healthy. I have been a little on the sick side with some heart issues then food poisoning to kidney stones. Its been a wild ride. Next month Ben starts college and thank God he has enough grants to pay for school!!

Junk be gone
Well another week has went by. Time flies when your having fun. Work has been difficult with unfriendly coworkers and having to work over every day. It has worn me out. But besides that we have found out that graduation is June 6. We are excited!! Ben's job is going good so that is a plus too. This weekend we finished our living room walls. We put pine up over the dry wall and what a difference it has made. I did also purge the spare bedroom. It was a wreck. The car is loaded and ready for the GW. Exciting times!!

Purging
The past few months have just flew by. Today is already St. Patty's day so we know spring is coming. Well the past few weeks our pastor has talked about stewardship. It really has been placed upon my heart that we are not good stewards of anything. In saying that we have started making a few changes. First instead of heading to the store to buy what we think we want or what we need, we head to the thrift shop. What a bargain. Well last week I went to our local GW Design (Good Will) to find some polo shirts for my son who has started his first job. I found some great shirts!! I browsed the book and behold there was a copy of "Boundaries" by Dr Henry Cloud. I have heard many times from Dave Ramsey that it was an awesome book to read. I did buy it from GW for $1. I brought it home and could not put it down. What an awesome Biblical book on how to set all kinds of boundaries!!!! I recommend it to everyone. Well between reading that, church messages and Dave Ramsey we decided to do a little purging. My son and I listed a bunch of stuff on Ebay and made some cash!! My husband and I purged our bedroom and closet. All I can say is WOW. Having all the stuff we had has to be a sin. Gluttony of junk! We did do the entire room and I dropped off 14 bags of stuff to the GW collection center and gave all my scrapbooking stuff to a friend at work. What a difference it makes! I felt like I had a weight lifted from just one room. So tomorrow I plan to purge the spare bedroom, then this weekend my son's room. We are getting back to the basics and not cluttering anymore. Thank God!

OK
I had said earlier that I was going to do better at this blog, but once again I failed. Let me go back a few months. In November Ben turned the big 18. We bought him a Nissan Xterra. It is great. He had a rough few months with his head injury last year. He had insomnia, headaches, mood changes, lack on interest, no concentration, etc. The list goes on. It took about 8 months to find a doctor who knew what to do. Since then he has been doing great. Ok back yo November. The week after his birthday was Thanksgiving and it was great. December came and we celebrated the birth of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. We made it simple this year and focused on Christ. New Years Eve was nothing special because we just don't get why its a holiday. Anyway January has cam e and almost left. Ben did great this past semester and has started his last semester of high school. He has applied to Radford University and Concord University. There are more to apply to this week. He wants to go into a CADD program doing engineering drawing and design. I am so proud of him. We are working on the FAFSA. What fun!!! Tracey has been working lots of OT. I just went full-time at the hospital. We are remodeling the inside of our house. We are once again having bible study at our house and our church gave us a one year devotional bible to read everyday for a whole year. It is great. We have been going there for almost 2 years and we have learned so much. It is amazing what a difference there is in you life when you are being fed. I have been so amazed. God has blessed us. We are living this year below our mean. We went thru Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University and are ready to "Live like noone else so we can live like noone else" We even down loaded that saying from his web site so when ever we turn the computer on it pops up. I coupon shop and try to make menus. I want to be a good steward of the money God blesses us with. Well that is enough for now. We have alot of snow and church is canceled so must go do some bible reading. Please leave me a comment!!!
