Prayer for Ben

Ben got a concussion last week at school during PE. He missed a day of school and has been going wiht a headache everyday. We went to the doctor and she said it may last a while. He was having a problem with lightheadedness and arm numbness. They sent us to the Er yesterday and they did a ct scan of his head/brain. As some of you know last year at this time he had a platelet problem and if he would have fallen i hate to think about what may have happened. Anyway he is going to miss 2 more weeks of crosscountry and will be daling with fatigue and bad headaches. Please keep him in you prayers.

EWomen Saturday

Saturday morning breakfast compliments of Acorn Hill was great. I notice they used organic things. A check plus in my book. We were packing our cars when I noticed Meliss'a car had a flat tire.. We took it to Monroe Muffler and they said there was a puncture in the side wall. And they did not have a tire for her car. So by the grace of God the guy there went out back and found a tire in good shape that was heading for the trash. He put it on and said there was no charge. God is good. She gave him a tip though for his grea work in helping us. SO we were a litttle late to the conference.

Of course we had Charles leading praise and worship again. These pictures are not great but I wanted to share them with you. We hear from a lady named Carol Kent and wow does she have a story about her son. I wuld suggest looking it up. It was heartbreaking, but they are getting thru it with God's help. Se really talked about forgiveness and when you say you have had enough of carrying bad feelings around that you can lay it at the cross and be free of it. I know I have been carying around some hurt feelings for a few months, but I decided yesterday that I forgive all the people who have let me down and the hurt feelings from friendships. I am free from it now and do not want to look back but I will look up. There were many women yesterday that gave there life to the Lord and it was awesome.

After Carol Kent we had lunch. Then when we came back we had a great concert from an American Idol star, Mandisa. WOW!! You talk about a woman that loves the world. She is awsome and really talked us about different addictions and howGod can pull you through. She sang and it was great.

After that Karen Kingsbury, the nonfiction author, talked to ua and she was really talked to my heart. I am very blessed and I am thankful that I was able to go this weeked. I wanted to say a special thanks to my friend Melissa that I have had the pleasure to know the last couple of years. She is a great christian women and I value our friendship and thanks for always being there.

Ewomen Weekend-Friday

I just got back from the 8:30 servive at Good Shepherd and thought now would be a good time to post about the EWomen conference. All I can say is WOW what a great weekend. We left Friday at 1:30 to head to Lynchburg. It is about an hour and a half away from where we are. So we my friend Melissa and I filled her tank with gas, before all the price gouging started and headed out. My sister in law Debbie and her daughter Angie (my neighbor) were going to meet at the Acorn Hill Lodge which may I say also had a spa. We found the place and it was great. As you can see from the above pictures, it was very roomy. We had a king bed and two twin beds in the room with a jacuzzi tub, full kitchen, and lots of room.

Friday night we had lots of praise and worship from Charles Billingsley, and he is great!!! We heard from the World Help and saw the World Help Children of the World Choir. Awesome. Of course I forgot the camera that night. Chondra Pierce was also and she talked about her struggle with depression recently and how she has to get rid of all that old junk inside her. The evening ended with the former lead singer of the country band Lonestar giving a concert. Richie McDonald was his name. He was good too.
